The Vision Behind Anubhava
“My intention in creating Anubhava is to give the audience an experience of Bharatanatyam in all its dimensions,” shares Apeksha. This isn’t merely a performance—it’s an immersive exploration where audiences can witness and understand the vast landscape of classical Indian dance through every lens possible.
A Confluence of Traditions
What makes Anubhava truly unique is its bold of diverse artistic elements. Audiences experience mythological narratives alongside folk stories, the intricate footwork of pure rhythm pieces, and the emotional depth of various rasas—from motherly affection (vatsalya) to romantic love (sringara).
The musical landscape is equally expansive, featuring both Indian classical compositions and the ethereal beauty of Gregorian chants, creating a bridge between Eastern and Western spiritual traditions. This confluence demonstrates that the language of Bharatanatyam transcends cultural boundaries.
Each element reveals a different facet of this ancient art form, allowing Rasikas to truly experience Bharatanatyam’s versatility and timeless relevance.
