Founded and passionately directed by sisters Apeksha Niranjan and Mitali Hasabnis, Nrityanjali Performing Arts (NPA) is a premier Bharatanatyam institute in Navi Mumbai. For over 21 years, this sister duo has created a vibrant community of classical dance, nurturing over 200 students in the sacred art of Bharatanatyam with dedication, expertise, and love.

Apeksha Niranjan - Founder & Artistic Director

Celebrated as the “Queen of Expressions,” Apeksha brings exceptional artistry to NPA:
  • Training: Disciple of Guru Dr. Sucheta Chapekar and Guru Dr. Alka Lajmi (Thanjavur bani)
  • Recognition: Graded artist of Doordarshan
  • Experience: Internationally acclaimed performer with presentations across Europe, Asia, and beyond
  • Specialty: Known for innovative choreography and profound expressive depth
  • Achievement: Bachelor’s in Bharatanatyam (Visharad degree from ABGMVM)

Academic Achievements

Apeksha’s artistic mastery is rooted in a strong academic foundation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree (Visharad) in Bharatanatyam from the esteemed Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal (ABGMVM), one of India’s most respected classical arts institutions.
She has also completed her Alankar and Parangat certifications in Bharatanatyam — advanced levels that reflect her exceptional depth of training, scholarly understanding, and command over both the technical and expressive aspects of the art.
These achievements stand as a testament not just to her talent, but to her lifelong commitment to excellence and disciplined study in the rich tradition of Indian classical dance.

Mitali Hasabnis - Co-Director & Head Teacher

Mitali Hasabnis co-founder of Nrityanjali Performing Arts, Sanpada, Navi Mumbai and she has been teaching Bharatnatyam from last 20 years. She has complicated her Visharad and Alankar degree from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya under the guidance of Guru Dr. Alka Lajami. She is a graded artist in Doordarshan. Beside teaching she performed in many festivals and program all over India. She has completed her Yoga teachers course from Yoga Vidya Niketan, Navi Mumbai.

An accomplished Bharatanatyam educator whose patient methodology and attention to detail ensure every student receives personalized guidance. Mitali’s dedication to quality education has been instrumental in building NPA’s reputation for excellence.

Together, these sisters have created an institution where tradition is honored, excellence is pursued, and every student’s potential is nurtured with genuine care.
